Burberry has managed to stay classic while still feeling relevant right now. The check is iconic, but the way they choose collaborations and faces for their campaigns makes it feel alive, not stuck in the past. It’s old money, but not boring.
Cause let’s be honest, the old money style really is boring, right? It’s not just me? I feel like the aesthetic has watered down to beige sweaters from Zara and zero creativity.
Anyway, for me, Burberry is the opposite. It’s intriguing and elevated at the same time.
2. Hunter Boots
I know I’ve already made a whole post about them but few things make me romanticize fall as much as the classic Hunter Boots. And that is what we should be doing right now, romanticize and enjoy this season to the fullest.
On top of that, they are just iconic. I remember growing up and seeing pictures of Kate Moss wearing them to muddy festivals. I see them on all the country side girls I get inspired by on Pinterest. Maybe it’s the countryside vibe, maybe it’s the nostalgia, but I am obsessed with them right now.
3. Soho Home
What I love about Soho Home is how eclectic it feels while still being undeniably chic. It’s layered, textured and a little unexpected but always stylish, always luxurious. The kind of interiors that feel collected over time, yet pulled together with the confidence of someone who knows exactly what they’re doing.
This is exactly what I aspire towards when creating my home.
4. Polo Ralph Lauren
Polo Ralph Lauren is what I mean when I say old money doesn’t have to be boring. It’s the version that actually makes sense right now; preppy, but elevated. A cable knit that feels just as good today as it will twenty years from now. A tweed blazer that looks timeless without ever slipping into dull. This is style that holds through generations. Preppy is the new old money, and no one does it better than Polo Ralph Lauren.
